Peacock expands its library with the addition of a new psychological thriller movie from producer Tyler Perry and Blumhouse. The film features Grown-ish star Chloe Bailey playing a violinist who gets hired to become a live-in music teacher for a wealthy but strange family.
What Tyler Perry movie is now on Peacock?
Beginning today, Perry’s latest thriller movie, Strung, is finally available to stream on Peacock. Before this, it had its world premiere a month ago at the 2026 American Black Film Festival. The ensemble cast of Strung also includes Emmy winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story), Anna Diop (Titans), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), Grammy winner Coco Jones (Let It Shine), and newcomer Romy Woods.
“The film follows a talented violinist who takes a prestigious job as a music tutor for the gifted daughter of an influential and enigmatic family. As she becomes entangled in their opulent world, unsettling secrets begin to surface, forcing her to question her safety, her dreams, and even her sanity,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.
The movie was directed by Malcolm D. Lee, with Alan McElroy writing the screenplay. It was executive-produced by Philip Waley, Shaun S. Sutton, Alan McElroy, and Giselle Johnson-Morris. Producers were Perry, Jason Blum, Tim Palen, Malcolm D. Lee, and Dominique Telson.
The creative team also included cinematographer Greg Gardiner, editor Paul Millspaugh, production designer Keith Brian Burns, and costume designer Neil McClean, along with composers Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge. It hailed from Peachtree & Vine, Blumhouse, in Association with Blackmaled Productions.
