A new Masters of the Universe video offers the first look at He-Man riding Battle Cat.
Masters of the Universe is being released in United States theaters next month by Amazon MGM Studios. Based on Mattel’s Masters of the Universe media franchise, the live-action movie is directed by Travis Knight and will see Nicholas Galitzine play He-Man.
The cast of the movie also includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm / Fisto, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto, among others.
What do we see in the Masters of the Universe video?
The trailers for Masters of the Universe have offered plenty of glimpses of both He-Man and Battle Cat; however, we haven’t actually seen He-Man riding Battle Cat until this most recent video. It’s a brief glimpse that comes at the very end, but it does offer a good tease for what’s to come in the movie.
Check out the video below (watch more trailers and clips):
The synopsis for the movie reads, “In Masters of the Universe, Director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.”
With a script that comes from Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, Adam Nee, and Dave Callahan, Masters of the Universe officially arrives on June 5, 2026.
