What was the cause of Patrick Muldoon’s death?
According to Deadline, Muldoon suddenly died this morning due to a heart attack. His decades-long acting career began in 1990 with a two-episode appearance on ABC’s hit sitcom Who’s the Boss? which was led by Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano. Before his breakout role in Days of Our Lives, he also briefly appeared in the popular NBC teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. From 1992 to 1995, Muldoon famously played the character Austin Reed on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives. In 2011, he got the chance to reprise the role after 16 years.
In 1995, he signed on for a recurring role on Fox’s hit soap opera, Melrose Place, in which he portrayed antagonist Richard Hart. Afterward, he starred in a string of TV movies during the early 2000s, including HBO’s Chain of Command, Hallmark Channel’s A Boyfriend for Christmas, Syfy Channel’s Ice Spiders, and Syfy Channel’s Finders Keepers.
As for his movie career, his first notable movie project was playing Zander Barcalow in 1997’s cult classic sci-fi film Starship Troopers. His latest acting project was in the upcoming crime thriller movie Dirty Hands, which reunited him with Starship Troopers co-star Denise Richards. Besides acting, Muldoon also served as an executive producer on many star-studded movies, including Liam Hemsworth’s Arkansas, Robert De Niro’s The Comeback Trail, Liam Neeson’s Marlowe, Oscar Isaac’s The Card Counter, and Bill Murray’s Riff Raff. He was originally attached to produce Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton’s newest movie, titled Kockroach.
