What Jamie Lee Curtis sci-fi movie arrives on Hulu today?
Everything Everywhere All at Once, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis alongside Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, James Hong, and more, is now available on Hulu.
The official synopsis reads: “A hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes.”
Everything Everywhere All at Once was a phenomenon when it initially came out in 2022. Its performances and inventive story won over both critics and audiences. Currently, the sci-fi movie holds an outstanding Tomatometer score of 93% and a solid Popcornmeter score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Made on a budget of just $25 million, Everything Everywhere All at Once was a huge box office hit. It went on to gross nearly $145 million worldwide.
During awards season, the film won many of the industry’s most prestigious awards. At the 2023 Oscars, it was nominated in 11 categories and eventually won seven of them, including Best Actress for Yeoh’s remarkable performance. It also won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.
Besides Yeoh and Lee Curtis, the film’s ensemble cast included Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., and Tallie Medel.
Following the wild success of their Oscar-winning movie, the director duo of Daniels is now working on a follow-up project. Earlier this year, they even shared a major update on its expected release window and production phase. “We’re about to shoot this summer, and it is coming out, if all things go to plan, next November of 2027.”
