Avatar: The Last Airbender Earth Rumble announced with details
Avatar: The Last Airbender has unveiled a new video game called Avatar: The Last Airbender Earth Rumble. As the title suggests, the game will focus on the fantasy of earthbending, one of the four elemental bending arts that exist within the ATLA universe. Developed by Nex, the game launches exclusively on the Nex Playground today, April 28, 2026 (via ScreenRant).
Nex’s CEO and co-founder, David Lee, shared details about the game. “Avatar: The Last Airbender has inspired generations of fans with its rich world and unforgettable characters,” Lee said. “With Earth Rumble, we’re bringing the act of earthbending to life in a way fans have always imagined, using their own body to train, move, and react the same way Toph did. Motion gameplay makes that experience feel real, turning something people have only watched into something they can actually do together.”
It has been reported that Earth Rumble draws inspiration from the eponymous storyline from the original series. Players will take part in this tournament as one of the competitors, with Toph Beifong herself serving as their guide. They will face off against several familiar earthbenders, including The Boulder, Hippo, The Gecko, and Gopher, while using techniques they learn from the Blind Bandit.
Additionally, Earth Rumble will feature multiple modes. For instance, in Story Mode, the player must rise through the ranks, whereas they can take on a previously defeated adversary in the Rematch Mode. There is also the Training Mode, which players can use to improve themselves.
According to ScreenRant, Nex has stated Earth Rumble is the “first of many future element-bending experiences planned for Nex Playground.” The game is available through Nex Playground’s content subscription (sold separately from the console) and Play Pass.
Notably, this news comes amid reports surrounding The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender leak.
