Curious about the return of Fire Country for Season 5 or if the firefighter drama is approaching its conclusion? Following another gripping season filled with perilous rescues and emotional developments, fans are keen to discover what the future holds for Bode and the team at Station 42.
So, has CBS confirmed the renewal of Fire Country for Season 5, or is this popular drama facing cancellation?
Has Fire Country Season 5 been canceled or renewed?
Fire Country has officially been renewed for Season 5 by CBS.
CBS has officially confirmed the renewal of the popular firefighter drama Fire Country for its fifth season. The series continues to be one of the network’s top performers, with its thrilling rescues and heartfelt storylines helping it retain a dedicated audience since its launch.
The renewal announcement came back in January, as reported by Variety, when CBS renewed ten of its ongoing series for the 2026-2027 broadcast season. At that time, the network affirmed that Fire Country will also return for another season. However, this upcoming fifth season may have a shorter run, with approximately 13 episodes planned instead of the usual twenty-episode format.
In addition to the renewal, Fire Country is anticipated to experience a significant behind-the-scenes change. As reported by Deadline, the current showrunner, Tia Napolitano, is expected to step down. Longtime television producer Eric Guggenheim is set to assume creative responsibilities for the new season.
Despite these production changes, the series remains a key component of CBS’s lineup, and viewers can likely look forward to more high-stakes emergencies, character-driven drama, and emotional moments when Season 5 debuts later this year.
The series cast features Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila, Jules Latimer, Diane Farr, Billy Burke, and others.
Until then, viewers can catch up on previous and latest episodes of Fire Country Season 1-4 by subscribing to CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
