One of Universal Pictures’ acclaimed comedy movies starring Kristen Wiig has finally been added to Netflix‘s library. During its theatrical run, the 2025 movie was an instant hit among critics and audiences. It currently has a Tomatometer rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, while its Popcornmeter is slightly higher at 93%.
What Kristen Wiig comedy movie is now on Netflix?
As of today, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is officially available to stream on Netflix. The live-action/animated hybrid musical comedy was based on the streamer and DreamWorks Animation’s popular interactive series of the same name. In the 2025 film, Wiig played the main antagonist, Vera, who’s described as a stylish and eccentric cat lady. The movie grossed more than $80 million worldwide against a reported budget of around $32 million.
Joining Wiig were Laila Lockhart Kraner, Gloria Estefan, Ego Nwodim, Kyle Mooney, Melissa Villaseñor, Thomas Lennon, Jason Mantzoukas, and Fortune Feimster. The film also featured the original show’s voice cast, Logan Bailey, Donovan Patton, Eduardo Franco, Juliet Donenfeld, Secunda Wood, Maggie Lowe, Carla Tassara, Sainty Nelsen, and Tara Song.
“In the new film, Gabby heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera, Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late,” reads the official synopsis.
Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie was directed by Ryan Crego, with original series creators Jennifer Twomey and Traci Paige Johnson serving as executive producers. The film was produced by Steven Schweickart, who was the production supervisor or co-producer on some of DreamWorks Animation’s biggest blockbusters, including How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, and Kung Fu Panda 4.
