Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced the 4K release date for the newly remastered version of Eraser, the underrated action movie that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. During its original theatrical run, the 1996 film grossed over $242 million worldwide at the box office against a reported budget of around $100 million.
“U.S. Marshal John Kruger ‘erases’ the lives and identities of people entering the Witness Protection Program. When his latest charge uncovers a deal to put a new superweapon in the wrong hands, it’s a do-or-die assignment. Kruger embarks on a high-octane action spree to protect her. As exciting as it is entertaining, Eraser is unstoppable,” reads the official synopsis.
When is the 4K release date for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Eraser movie?
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the remastered version of Eraser will be available for purchase Digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc, starting on June 16. The 4K release will also include new bonus content featuring Schwarzenegger, director Chuck Russell, Vanessa Williams, and executive producer Michael Tadross reflecting on the making of the film.

Russell directed the 1996 action thriller movie from a screenplay written by Tony Puryear and Walon Green. It was based on the story by Puryear, Green, and Michael S. Chernuchin. The ensemble cast included Schwarzenegger as Eraser, Williams as Lee, James Caan as DeGuerin, James Coburn as Beller, James Cromwell as Donahue, John Slattery as Corman, Robert Pastorelli as Johnny Casteleone, and more. It was produced by Anne Kopelson and Arnold Kopelson, with Russell also serving as an executive producer.
