So when news broke that a new actor would take on the role of Chad DiMera, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. Now, Days of Our Lives fans are weighing in on Conner Floyd‘s debut as the recast Chad, replacing Billy Flynn.

As Conner Floyd takes over the role of Chad DiMera from Billy Flynn, Days of Our Lives loyalists are voicing their thoughts on Salem’s newest recast. The former The Young and the Restless star began his run this week, and the response has been unexpectedly unanimous. Fans are almost universally in love with the recast.

However, the reaction is no shock to anyone watching. Only two episodes in, Conner Floyd is already embodying Chad DiMera with natural confidence, yet he brings fresh nuance to the role. His performance carries an effortless charm, undercut by a steelier version of Chad who won’t back down and certainly won’t take his brother at face value.

Over on the SheKnows Soaps‘ Facebook page, fans wasted no time weighing in on Conner Floyd’s recast as Chad DiMera. The comments section lit up within hours of his debut, with viewers largely rallying behind the new face in Salem.

“Pretty good recast..u can tell he watched billy because he has some of his mannerisms,” commented a DOOL enthusiast. “He’ll have no problems stepping into the role. Smooth as butter!” wrote another. “Excellent recast! And easy on the eyes too,” echoed a fan. “Love him! Love Billy too but he definitely will make a good Chad!” quipped yet another viewer.

Billy Flynn, currently The Young and the Restless’ Cane, originally joined Days of Our Lives as a recast, taking the reins from Casey Deidrick as Chad. It didn’t take long for Flynn to win over the fanbase. Now, history appears to be repeating itself with Conner Floyd stepping into the part.
