Brenda Song appeared on the April 22 episode of Cosmopolitan‘s Cosmo Goes Deep with her Running Point co-star Jennifer Hudson, where they interviewed each other on a range of personal topics.
At one point during the conversation, Hudson asked, “What’s the pettiest thing you and your partner fight over?” Song, who is in a relationship with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, revealed that there is one thing that the couple often gets very competitive about.
“One thing that we can argue about is we do play Mario Kart sometimes, like in bed,” Song shared. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star added, “And then we get very, very competitive and we will like get like mildly mad at each other, for like cutting me off or like winning, beating me last minute. That’s probably the pettiest thing.”
Song and Culkin first met in 2017, reportedly for the movie Changeland. The couple began dating soon after. In January 2022, sources told People that the pair is engaged. The couple shares two children together, sons Dakota and Carson.
Both Song and Culkin have often gushed about their relationship. Back in 2020, the actress posted a birthday note for Culkin on Instagram, calling her partner her “unicorn.” She added, “I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”
When Culkin received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he gave an emotional speech, calling Song his “champion.” The actor said, “You are absolutely everything.” Getting emotional, he added, “You’re the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known; you’re the best person I’ve ever known” (via Today).
Meanwhile, Brenda Song and Jennifer Hudson’s sports comedy series, Running Point, has recently returned for a second season. It premiered on Netflix on April 23, 2026.
