Dune 3‘s Timothée Chalamet recently called a co-star’s acting “actually terrifying.” The third instalment trailer was recently released and it will reprise the actress’s cameo from Part 2.
What Dune 3 performance does Timothée Chalamet will blow people’s minds?
The Dune: Part Three promotions are already active ahead of its theatrical release later this year. On July 8, Chalamet attended the Global IMAX Fan Event in Los Angeles. During an interview there, the actor complimented Anya Taylor-Joy‘s work in the upcoming movie.
He stated, “Anya is something special in this movie,” adding that he “didn’t really get to work with her on the second one”, in which the actress had a brief cameo.
He also recalled the first day of the actress on set and said, “The first day Anya stepped on set, just visually, it was breathtaking. She is unbelievable in this movie. That’s not media hyperbole. She’s actually terrifying and amazing.” He also gave a shoutout to Denis Villeneuve’s direction and Linus Sandgren’s cinematography in shaping the actress’s performance. (via People)
Taylor-Joy’s role in Villeneuve’s Dune: Part 3 will be a major one. She plays Alia Atreides, Paul’s sister, who also lives on the desert planet Arrakis. In a Deadline interview, she spoke about her role, “Alia has a very intense blessing/curse situation.”

She also added, “The one thing that she really feels most strongly about is her love and devotion to her brother, because that is the only person who’s ever made her feel like she makes sense. He’s understood her from before she was even born.”
Villeneuve revealed the action will take place 17 years after the events of Dune: Part Two. According to him, the movie “will be very different, with a different tone, with a different rhythm, with a different pace.”
Robert Pattinson will also debut a major role in the movie as Scytale. The Dune lead actor also complimented him alongside the actress, stating, “I worked with Rob before. I knew how good he was.”
Dune: Part 3 is scheduled for a December 18, 2026, release date.
