What do we see in the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 trailer?
Season 3 is set five years after the fall of Eregion, with Sauron on a quest to forge the One Ring. The trailer also starts with that, teasing the ring’s creation. That is followed by glimpses at the dour state of Middle-Earth, with a new look at Gandalf. Galadriel is seen meeting Celeborn, and the heroes also run into Nazgûls, who resemble their appearance in the Peter Jackson films. As the trailer shows, only a few isolated pockets, like Khazad-dûm and the elven realms of Lindon and Rivendell, stand in Sauron’s way.
The show’s cast will be joined by Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Adam Young, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Zubin Varla. They will play Thrain, Anarion, Marnûkh, Celeborn, and Khamûl the Easterling, respectively. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay serve as showrunners on the prequel. Prime Video revealed that the series has attracted over 185 million viewers worldwide since its debut in 2022.

LOTR: The Rings of Power Season 3 premieres with four episodes on Prime Video on November 11, 2026. The franchise is also set to continue with several new movies, including Andy Serkis’ upcoming feature The Hunt for Gollum.
