One of Netflix‘s popular sports family comedy shows starring Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson has finally returned, over a year after its release. As of today, all ten episodes of Running Point Season 2 are now finally available to stream on Netflix.
What do we know about Netflix’s Running Point Season 2?
Running Point Season 2 will also see the return of series regulars Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman as Marcus, Uche Agada as Dyson, and Justin Theroux, along with recurring guest stars Max Greenfield, Jay Ellis, Roberto Sanchez, Jon Glaser, Scott Evans, Rob Huebel, Marissa Reyes, and Justin Hurtt-Dunkley. Since its debut, the show has received a Certified Fresh score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first installment also spent 5 weeks in Netflix’s Global English Top 10 TV List and reached the Top 10 in 83 countries.
“Isla Gordon is no longer the surprise choice to lead the Los Angeles Waves; she’s the one everyone is watching. With the franchise finally rebounding after last year’s scandal, Isla is determined to prove she’s not just keeping the seat warm for her brother Cam. What she doesn’t know is that Cam is quietly maneuvering behind the scenes to reclaim his post, turning every misstep into ammunition,” reads the official synopsis. “As she tries to balance the pressure of running a franchise with devoting time to her personal life, every decision on and off the court counts. To survive the family power plays and the scrutiny of the board, she’ll have to rip up last season’s game plan and come up with a whole new playbook if she wants to close out the season on top. Season 2 raises the stakes, deepens the family drama, and finds even more comedy in what it takes to run a modern sports empire.”
Running Point hails from writer and executive producer Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, with the latter also serving as the showrunner. Joining them are new Season 2 recurring cast members Robert Townsend, Ken Marino, Tommy Dewey, Richa Moorjani, Jake Picking, Blake Anderson, Duby Maduegbunam, and Aliyah Turner. The show is executive-produced by Hudson, Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss, and Linda Rambis, with Jordan Rambis producing.
