The Acolyte is drawing fresh attention after returning to the Top 10 chart on Disney+ in the United States, nearly two years after its cancellation. Data from FlixPatrol shows the series ranked 9th on April 26, 2026.

The series was originally canceled in August 2024 when Lucasfilm opted not to continue the project beyond its debut run. The renewed traction has sparked a strong response online, with viewers on X (formerly Twitter) calling for a second season. One user wrote, “Loving all the love for the acolyte 2 years after it was unfairly canceled, this show deserved so much better.”

Launched on June 4, 2024, with its first two episodes, the series explored a darker corner of the Star Wars timeline. Set in the closing years of the High Republic era, the story followed a former Padawan and her Jedi mentor as they investigated a string of incidents related to growing dark-side influence. Their investigation gradually revealed a deeper and more dangerous conspiracy at work.

While its initial run was short-lived, the show’s return to the platform’s Top 10 suggests that it continues to attract viewers.
