Pedro Pascal discussed the challenges of building a career in Hollywood and shared the lessons he learned along the way. The actor reflected on how these experiences shaped his character and influenced how he treats others.
In an interview on Variety Awards Circuit Podcast, Pascal was asked what advice he would give to aspiring actors navigating the early stages of their careers. “You’ve got to eat sh*t, and you’ve got to take a lot of sh*t. That’s part of it,” Pascal stated. The Chilean-American actor explained that enduring those difficult moments helps build character, teaching actors how to treat others with respect and value generosity.
“There isn’t any way I would be here were it not for the generosity of others who have been there for me,” the 51-year-old added. “I owe it to all the people in my life. I wouldn’t know where to begin. It’s a population of people that I owe things to.”
Pedro Pascal also reflects on the roles and experiences that shaped his journey
Pascal had spent twenty years taking on small roles in the industry before his breakout role in Game of Thrones. The actor played Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of HBO’s hit series. He was 39 years old when the fourth season aired in 2014.
Looking back, Pascal recalled returning to theater during that pivotal period to play Don John in Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare in the Park. The MCU actor also reflected on his time filming The Last of Us in Alberta and sharing the HBO series with audiences worldwide.
Pascal revealed that he misses making Behemoth! more than any other project he has worked on. The 51-year-old said he misses the character. “I miss being with everyone every day. I miss Tony [Gilroy].” The Mandalorian star also offered advice to aspiring actors who are still waiting for their breakthrough.
Pascal’s upcoming films include Behemoth!, scheduled to open in theaters on December 4, 2026, and Avengers: Doomsday, set for release on December 18, 2026.
