Wonder Man Season 2 has received a great update.
Marvel Television’s Wonder Man was released on Disney+ earlier this year. Created by Andrew Guest and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the show stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, while Ben Kingsley reprises his MCU role as Trevor Slattery.
In March 2026, Wonder Man was officially renewed for a second season. There haven’t been too many updates about the show since then; however, Guest has now shared some new details about what fans can expect.
What is the Wonder Man Season 2 update?
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Wonder Man Season 2 is currently being written, though it is still “in the early stages.”
Perhaps more notably, Guest said that fans of the first season can expect the same tone in Season 2. Given how grounded the first season is, some fans expressed concern that a continuation of Wonder Man might up the stakes too much to plunge into generic Marvel superhero action. Guest’s comments, though, mean this doesn’t have to be a concern.
“The people who like this show and like it because it feels different are going to be rewarded,” he explained. “And the people who think that this show is going to suddenly turn into something else, I’m sorry to say, it’s not…Simon still has superpowers. It is still about this relationship, about two artists, and our industry. That is essentially what we want to maintain.”
Plot details beyond that for Wonder Man Season 2 are being kept under wraps at this time. A release date has not yet been announced by Marvel Studios.
All eight episodes of the first season, meanwhile, are available to stream on Disney+. The cast also includes Zlatko Burić as Von Kovak, Arian Moayed as P. Cleary, Byron Bowers as DeMarr Davis/Doorman, and more.
