Does the May 1, 2026 (#1055) edition of NYT Connections have you stumped? We’ve got some clues and hints to help you crack today’s puzzle and save your winning streak. The New York Times Connection is a popular word game that presents a set of 16 different words that players need to sort into groups of four. The words are connected based on some hidden themes. These determine which words belong in the same group. To solve the puzzle, players must identify the correct groupings within four attempts. Furthermore, whenever a player selects three correct words of a group out of the four, they receive a “one away…” hint.

So, here are the hints and answers for the May 1 Connections puzzle.

Green Group: This collection features items that have the same color.
