Suits star Meghan Markle is reportedly exploring a return to acting, with early reports linking her to a potential role in Guy Ritchie’s TV show.

According to an exclusive report from Deadline, Markle has had preliminary conversations regarding a UK-based acting role. The report indicates that the Duchess of Sussex is eyeing a potential role in Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s hit Netflix action-comedy series, The Gentlemen.

Despite the growing speculation, fans need to take the news with a grain of salt. The sources have also stated that these are just rumors. There is nothing confirmed as of now. Neither Ritchie nor any spokesperson from Netflix has confirmed the association of a royal family member with the project.

Currently, the second season of The Gentlemen is scheduled to air on September 3, 2026. There is no confirmation about the show being renewed by Netflix for a third season at the moment.

Why a role in The Gentlemen would make sense

Even though nothing is confirmed, introducing Markle to The Gentlemen cast for a potential third season would make perfect sense. Bringing in the 45-year-old star will garner a lot of instant viewership.

This will, in turn, help the project significantly and contribute to maximizing profits. Moreover, her addition could also make for the expansion of the project in the coming years.

The potential casting aligns with her broader relationship with the streaming platform, as Prince Harry and Meghan maintain a first-look production deal with Netflix. Following their residency in the United States for a fairly long time (six years), the royal couple has relocated to the U.K. This relocation places them directly in the region where the series is produced.

The Duchess previously partnered with Netflix on projects including the Harry & Meghan docuseries and her lifestyle program With Love, Meghan.
