DC Studios’ highly anticipated Creature Commandos Season 2 has received another exciting update from showrunner Dean Lorey. This comes over a year after the show debuted its first season on HBO Max.
What’s the new Season 2 update for Creature Commandos?
Yesterday, Lorey took to social media to share a new detail about Creature Commandos Season 2, confirming that the scripts for the next chapter of the adult animated DC Universe series are progressing well. In an Instagram post, he shared a photo of the title page of Season 2, Episode 1’s script, revealing that the first episode will be called “Starry Night.”
“I promised a ‘starry little surprise’ so here you go, the title page of the first script,” Lorey wrote in his post. “Creature Commandos season 2 is becoming something really special with the work of hugely talented creative folks who I’ll spotlight over the next few weeks!”
Creature Commandos hails from executive producer James Gunn, based on the fan-favorite DC Comics team created by J.M. DeMatteis and Pat Broderick. Season 1 featured the voices of Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Season 2 will introduce the character of immortal vampire Nosferata, voiced by Alien: Earth star Sydney Chandler. The new lineup for the titular team is also expected to include G. I. Robot, Khalis, King Shark, Doctor Phosphorus, and Weasel. The next installment will be showrun by Lorey, who is also an executive producer alongside Peter Safran and Sam Register. Rick Morales also serves as the show’s supervising producer. It is a production by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation.
