Prime Video has finally shared the official trailer for Spider-Noir, its upcoming live-action TV adaptation of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man Noir comic book series. The unique superhero show will first premiere on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25. Afterward, all eight episodes will debut globally on Prime Video on May 27, where it will be available to stream in two versions, “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.”
“The series tells the story of Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero,” reads the official logline.

What is shown in the Spider-Noir trailer?
The video introduces Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, a fan-favorite character he first played in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The trailer highlights the show’s standalone universe, featuring the superhero detective fighting against different kinds of monsters. It also teases some of the action-packed fight sequences, including Cage using his Spider-Man powers to solve his cases. The creative team has confirmed that Cage’s live-action version of Spider-Man Noir will have a different origin and storyline from the Spider-Verse version.
The ensemble cast also includes Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Li Jun Li (Sinners), Karen Rodriguez (The Hunting Wives), Abraham Popoola (Slow Horses), with Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), and Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin). They will be joined by guest stars Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.
Spider-Noir is created and executive-produced by showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, along with director Harry Bradbeer. Even though it won’t be tied to any Sony or Marvel movies, the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was also part of the creative process, including Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. They are executive producing alongside Cage, Aditya Sood, Dan Shear, and Pavlina Hatoupis. It is a production by Sony Pictures Television.
