The Baywatch reboot cast has expanded with two popular faces from the original show. Featuring Stephen Amell and Brooks Nader, the upcoming FOX show is based on NBC’s long-running series that aired for 11 seasons over more than a decade.
Who has joined the cast of the Baywatch reboot?
Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard, from the original Baywatch show, have joined FOX’s reboot TV series. They will reprise their iconic roles of Jack ‘J.D.’ Darius and April Giminski, respectively, as reported by Variety. The two are expected to appear as guest stars on the reboot rather than playing a more substantial role in the series.
As for their previous stints in the original, Bergin played a lead role from Season eight through 11, and later reprised his role in FOX’s 2003 telefilm Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Packard was a series regular between Seasons eight and nine.
They have joined the previously announced cast, including David Chokachi, returning as Cody Madison, and Erika Eleniak, who will appear in a guest role of Shauni McClain. The rest of the cast includes Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, Livvy Dunne as Grace, Nadia Gray as Lisa, and Mary McDonnell as Gayle.

The upcoming project has Matt Nix as the showrunner and executive producer. Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz are also serving as executive producers. The story of the new series will continue the original show’s plot.
The recently revealed teaser provided key details on what fans can expect. It showed Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, a character from the original series, where he was Mitch Buchannon’s troublemaking son. In the reboot, he will be seen as the Baywatch unit’s captain.
The Baywatch reboot is set to release in January 2027.
