Mishael Morgan, known widely for her role as Amanda on Young and Restless, announced the launch of her new production company, Iron Spine Productions, in a new Instagram post.
Morgan quietly disappeared from The Young and the Restless after an intriguing arc featuring Phyllis and Cane. Now, it seems that the actress is moving on to a new venture that could affect her soap opera future.
Sharing a screenshot from Playback’s article, which read, “Actor-producer Mishael Morgan launches Iron Spine Productions,” Morgan announced this new direction in her life.
“New chapter. Deep breath. Let’s go,” Morgan began her Instagram post. “I have officially opened my production company. It feels equal parts thrilling and terrifying in the best way. I’m still acting (always), but I’m also stepping into a space with more agency, more ownership, and more responsibility for the stories I help bring into the world.”
She continued, “I won’t lie, impostor syndrome tried to pull up a chair. But then I remembered something I’ve promised myself over and over again: never stop pushing past what’s comfortable. Growth never happens there.”
She further added, “Launching this during Black History Month feels especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that the stories we tell, and who gets to tell them, matter.”
The Young and Restless actress opened up about her first planned project. “I’m incredibly excited to begin developing a project based on @vanessarileyauthor’s beautiful book, one that’s deeply connected to my Caribbean heritage and to stories that honor our past while pushing us forward,” she wrote.
Morgan concluded the post, saying, “There are so many exciting things on the horizon. Stories that matter. Stories that challenge me,” and added, “Stories that feel personal. Here’s to betting on yourself, even when your voice shakes. Cheers to the next chapter.”
