New promos for Wonder Man, including a video message and ads, tease the return of a longtime MCU actor.
Whose MCU return is teased in the Wonder Man promos?
In the streets of New York City and Los Angeles, fans have spotted signs featuring Trevor Slattery, played by Ben Kingsley. The Oscar winner previously portrayed Slattery in Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In Wonder Man, Slattery is a failed actor auditioning for the Wonder Man movie.
So far, the signs have been spotted on benches and walls throughout the cities (via @DiscussingFilm). The signs read, “Acting Coach to the Stars,” with a number fans can text to receive advice from Slattery.
There is also a promotional video (via @Feature_First) where Slattery introduces fans to acting principles known as the Slattery Method. Call or text 805-887-3867 to learn more.
The MCU series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor with superpowers who seeks to play the lead in the remake of a Wonder Man movie.
“Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man,” the official synopsis reads. “These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.”
Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers also star.
Wonder Man is created by Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Destin Daniel Creed and Andrew Guest, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The show will consist of eight episodes and will air on Disney+.
Wonder Man premieres on January 27, 2026.
