Why Apple TV didn’t release a new Pluribus episode today, on January 2, 2026

Unfortunately, Apple TV didn’t release a new Pluribus episode on January 2, 2026, because Season 1 has already finished, as it ended last week on December 24, 2025.

As of now, Pluribus Season 1 has released all nine episodes. Now, there is no chance to see Episode 10 yet. Furthermore, the show will only continue with the production of new episodes in Season 2 once the next season is developed.

Pluribus has already been confirmed for a second season. Apple TV approved Season 2 before the premiere of Season 1. It’s a decision that has proven to be timely, as the series has become the most-watched title in the history of the platform.

Pluribus first premiered on November 7, 2025, and concluded on December 24, 2025. It featured a total of 9 episodes, providing viewers with a month filled with thrilling entertainment. In the preview of the final episode, we witnessed Manousos arriving in Albuquerque. This all then leads to ensuing complications, while Carol visits the last best place on Earth.

Pluribus is a science fiction drama TV series set in a world altered by a mysterious extraterrestrial event referred to as the Joining. It merges nearly all of humanity into a tranquil, unified hive mind. While this collective offers promises of peace and harmony, a small fraction of individuals remain unaffected and maintain their individuality. The narrative focuses on Carol, a writer who is resolute in preserving her independence in a society that no longer cherishes it. Although the hive mind seems gentle and accommodating, an underlying sense of discomfort persists. At its essence, the series delves into themes of identity, free will, and the implications of a conflict-free world.

The series cast members include Rhea Seehorn, Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, Samba Schutte, Peter Bergman, and others.
