Why Landman Season 2 isn’t airing a new episode tonight

Landman Season 2 isn’t airing a new episode tonight because the season is over.

Season 2 aired its final episode on January 18, 2026. The new season had a total of 10 episodes. Lately, streaming platforms have been splitting their popular shows’ seasons into installments and dropping the episodes into two or three parts. As such, Landman Season 2 was expected to follow a similar pattern. However, the series chose to release its episodes weekly, on their respective date and times. So, Part 2 with more episodes will also not be happening.

Besides extra episodes, fans have been looking forward to the show’s next chapters. The good news is that Landman has been confirmed for a third season. The drama was renewed for Season 3 in December of last year, ahead of the second installment’s finale. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Billy Bob Thornton was asked if Season 3 would be similar to the previous chapters and would pick up from where it left off.

He answered, “Honestly, I don’t know. If I did, I would tell you. I really don’t know what’s going to happen.” “I think maybe the actual physical danger might come back a little bit more. It feels right to me that it would,” Thornton continued. The 70-year-old also explained, “But I can’t help but think that there’s going to be something that happens in the family that is maybe unsettling. I don’t know.” He expressed, “These are all feelings I have because that’s all I have to go on. There aren’t even rumors around our set.”
