Who’s Coming
Matthew Ashford: The Horton-Deveraux family reunion takes clear center stage this week, starting with the return of Matthew Ashford as Jack Deveraux, rejoining wife Jennifer and the rest of the clan for the Thanksgiving gathering in Salem.
Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Rose Horton): Melissa Reeves returns as Jennifer Rose Horton-Deveraux, who will spearhead the holiday festivities and help anchor family scenes.
Cary Christopher (Thomas DiMera): Cary Christopher returns as Thomas DiMera, son of Chad, making an appearance on Friday.
Alice Halsey ( Rachel Black): Alice Halsey is back, portraying Rachel Black, who has some explaining to do after triggering an allergic reaction in Sarah Horton Kiriakis.
Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera): The Veteran soap figure Thaao Penghlis returns as Tony DiMera, locked away in the crypt with Kristen.
Louis Tome (Aaron Greene): Louis Tome is back on the show as Aaron Greene, and his storyline intersects with Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) in an awkward encounter.
Who’s Going
While fresh faces are coming back to the show this week, a couple of fan favorites are stepping back out.
Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) and Bryan R. Dattilo (Lucas Horton) are wrapping up their short-term returns and saying their goodbyes once again.
Days of Our Lives has been holding it down in the daytime drama space since 1965, and it’s still one of the most beloved shows in American TV history.
For decades, fans have stuck with the series throughout. Now, even in the streaming age, the show is far from slowing down. The recent season notably racked up a massive 3.1 billion minutes viewed on Peacock.
The show’s also got plenty of awards, too. It won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in 1978 and again in 2013.
The show’s writing team has taken home Emmys in 2012, 2018, and 2022 for Outstanding Drama Series Writing.
