Now that Stranger Things has come to a close, fans are wondering whether Steve ended up with Nancy or someone else. Although the two have not been a couple since Season 1, many fans were still hoping they would get back together by the end.

Here’s what the finale revealed about their relationship.

Do Nancy and Steve end up together in Stranger Things Season 5’s ending?

Stranger Things Season 5 finale, “The Rightside Up,” premiered on New Year’s Eve, bringing closure to one of Netflix’s most popular sci-fi series. It also defined where each character is, what they’re doing, and who they’re dating. When Nancy and Jonathan broke up in Volume 2, many fans held out hope for a Nancy-Steve reunion. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

After the gang defeated Vecna, Nancy decided to leave Hawkins to pursue her studies at Emerson College. However, she later revealed that she dropped out of school and took an internship at the Boston Herald. Meanwhile, Steve became a coach for the kids’ baseball team, while also teaching sex-ed at the school.

Although the two didn’t end up together, Steve revealed that he’s dating a girl named Kristen. He believes that she “might be the one” for him. Nancy and Robin then joked, reminding him that he said the same thing about Dawn, Margaret, and Julie.

On the other hand, Hopper and Joyce took their relationship further after he proposed to her and she accepted. Since both Jonathan and Will have moved out of town, the couple decided to start fresh in Montauk, where Hopper was offered the position of Chief of Police.

As for the others, Max and Lucas are still together, Will was seen at a bar meeting a guy, and Robin is seemingly still with Vickie. Unfortunately, the show doesn’t reveal whether Dustin and Suzie continue their relationship, and Mike is still dealing with the emotional aftermath of losing Eleven.

All five seasons of Stranger Things are now streaming on Netflix.
