Netflix typically keeps updating its content catalogue, adding new shows while removing those whose licenses have expired and haven’t been renewed. The show debuted on Netflix initially in the 2010s before departing sometime in 2017. As a part of Disney’s major deal, it returned to the service yet again on June 3, 2024. However, the agreement was only for 18 months, which is now coming to a close, and the show will no longer be available to watch on Netflix. The show is reportedly departing Netflix on December 3, 2025.

However, fans need not worry about not being able to binge-watch this beloved sitcom. They can continue to watch it on Hulu, which also offers a month’s free trial exclusively for new users. Hulu offers a wide range of subscription plans to buy, starting at just $12.99/month.

How I Met Your Mother’s Season 9 finale concluded in March 2014, leaving the internet divided due to the mixed reactions it received. CBS sitcom co-creator Craig Thomas took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the audience’s reception and thanked the viewers for watching the show. “We wrote a comedy with dramatic elements till the very end. Thanks for taking that ride with us,” he added.
