The 2026 Super Bowl LX kicked off on Sunday, February 8, with an electric performance by the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s nearly 14-minute Halftime Show performance. Additionally, two Hollywood actors, Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba, made a surprising appearance during the segment.
Nearly two minutes into the performance, when the rapper got on top of a structure to perform his popular songs, “Safaera” and “Party,” both Pascal and Alba appeared in the background. They were not an active part of the performance. However, they remained beneath the structure while the extras performed in the foreground.
Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show performance primarily focused on Latin culture, with nearly the entire segment performed exclusively in Spanish. Since both the actor from The Last of Us and the actress from Into the Blue have Latin heritage, they seemed to fit into a visual narrative.
The two stars have both starred in Fantastic Four movies, though in franchises from different studios. Alba starred as Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, in the two Fantastic Four movies produced under the 20th Century Fox banner. Meanwhile, Pascal portrayed Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in the MCU reboot in 2025.
In addition to the Marvel actors, two more pop artists performed during the segment. About halfway through the performance, Lady Gaga performed “Die With a Smile,” but with a salsa-inspired twist. She was accompanied by a live band along with a group of salsa dancers.
The “Tití Me Preguntó” singer later joined her, and the two briefly performed a salsa dance together. Later in the segment, the popular Puerto Rican pop singer Ricky Martin performed an acoustic version of “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii.”
The “NUEVAYoL” singer’s performance marked a significant milestone in the tournament’s history, as he was the first-ever solo Latino and Spanish-language artist to perform during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
