Prime Video subscribers can now watch Academy Award nominee Uma Thurman in Amazon Studios’ newest John Wick-style action movie about five fierce ballerinas. As of today, the Kill Bill star’s R-rated action-packed thriller, Pretty Lethal, is now officially available to stream on Prime Video.
What do we know about Uma Thurman’s Pretty Lethal movie?
Pretty Lethal was directed by Vicky Jewson, with Kate Freund writing the screenplay. Besides Thurman, the movie also stars Maddie Ziegler as Bones, Lana Condor as Princess, Iris Apatow as Zoe, Millicent Simmonds as Chloe, Avantika as Grace, Michael Culkin as Lothar Marcovic, and Lydia Leonard as Thorna. Following its world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival, the film has already garnered an approval rating of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 23 reviews.
“An action-packed thriller where five ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest. With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer, a reclusive former ballet prodigy,” reads the official synopsis. “From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and their worst instincts prove right. As the situation turns deadly, the fractured team must set aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.”
The movie was executive-produced by Jewson, Kate Freund, Max Jacoby, and Tom Salentine, with William Bindley, Mike Karz, Kelly McCormick, and Piers Tempest serving as producers. The creative team also included director of photography Bridger Nelson, editor Richard Smither, composer Paul Leonard-Morgan, casting director Jenny Jue, production designer Zsuzsa Kismarty-Lechner, costume designer Ildikó Andó, and more. It was a production by 87North Productions, Gulfstream Pictures, and Amazon MGM Studios.
