His reaction was equal parts charm, humor, and caution, sparking fresh conversation about where the actor stands on the idea of settling down.

Timothée Chalamet discusses prospects of marriage

The moment went down during a Q&A and screening of Marty Supreme at London’s Prince Charles Cinema on February 1. Filmmaker Richard Curtis was running the show and decided to spice things up with a quick round of one-word questions.

Things got exciting when he asked Timothée Chalamet if he had a girlfriend. Chalamet answered with a calm “Yes,” casually confirming what fans already suspected about his romance with Kylie Jenner.

Curtis then turned the heat up and asked if marriage was ever in the cards. That one clearly threw Chalamet for a loop. He laughed, took a beat, and said, “Wow… that’s so personal,” which had the crowd cracking up.

When Curtis jokingly chimed in with, “Can we come?” Chalamet played along, warning, “You’re going to get me in trouble, man,” before flashing a shy grin and finally saying, “Yes. Yes” (via Variety).

It was a rare moment because Chalamet almost never opens the door to his private life. He’s been reportedly dating Kylie Jenner since 2023, but the two keep things low-key and don’t spill details in interviews or on social media. Most of what fans see comes from red carpets and awards season sightings, not public love speeches.

That said, the London event wasn’t really about romance; it was about Chalamet’s winning streak. His turn in Marty Supreme has put him in the Best Actor race at the 2026 Oscars, scheduled for March 15. He’s already been on a roll this year, taking home Best Actor trophies at both the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, marking one of the hottest career runs he’s had so far.
