Chase McWhorter, the ex-husband of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Miranda McWhorter, has reflected on his July 2025 arrest due to charges of DUI and possession of cocaine. On Thursday, he took to social media to address the situation and apologize for his actions.

Chase McWhorter says he’s ‘deeply regretful’ of his actions that led to his arrest

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star recently shared a video on social media to talk about the reports regarding his arrest on July 4, 2025, where he allegedly faced multiple misdemeanor charges.

“Time to address the elephant in the room,” Chase McWhorter said as he started his TikTok video. “I don’t have a PR person, so we’re just gonna rawdog this s—.”

“The reports you saw yesterday that came out about what happened on July 4 with me are true,” he continued. “I was pulled over for driving under the influence. I had ingested substances that I shouldn’t have, and got behind the wheel of a car. Extremely shortsighted, selfish, and dangerous decision,” McWhorter further admitted.

The reality TV star then recounted the events that led to his arrest. He explained that after a “fight broke out” at the party he was attending earlier, he decided to go home since it was just a “few miles away.” While McWhorter recognized in hindsight that he should’ve “Ubered,” he chose to drive himself. He added that a decision like that is what “kills people every single day.”

“I understand the severity of it. Obviously, it was a humiliating low, you know, being pulled over and taken in. Terrible look for me,” Chase McWhorter shared. “It’s obviously an inward problem that I need to work on and not a reflection of my parents, who’ve raised me much better than that.”

McWhorter also said that “it sucks for being a disappointment” to Miranda as a co-parent. He added, “I’m obviously working through the consequences with an attorney and will deal with that as it comes. Because that’s what happens when you make stupid decisions.”

Additionally, the 30-year-old acknowledged the officers who arrested him for doing their job promptly and apologized profusely to everyone that he put at risk that day.

According to US Weekly, the court charged Chase McWhorter with three misdemeanor charges: possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended or revoked license. The court set his bail at $2,500.
