HBO Max has shared the official trailer for The Comeback Season 3, the upcoming final installment of Lisa Kudrow‘s hit comedy series. The eight-episode HBO original comedy will return on March 22, 2026. New episodes will debut weekly leading up to the series finale on Sunday, May 10.

What happens in The Comeback Season 3 trailer?

The video highlights the return of Emmy Award winner Lisa Kudrow, who is reprising her acclaimed role as Valerie Cherish, twenty years after the show concluded its second season. It teases the new chapter in Valerie’s career, as she stars and produces in a brand-new sitcom. The trailer offers a glimpse at the chaotic production of her new show, while also teasing the guest stars who will appear in the final installment.

The Comeback is created by Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow, who are executive producing alongside John Melfi and Dan Bucatinsky. The comedy gave viewers a satirical look into the entertainment television industry. The Season 3 cast also includes Dan Bucatinsky, Laura Silverman, Damian Young, Tim Bagley, Matt Cook, Jack O’Brien, Ella Stiller, John Early, Barry Shabaka Henley, Abbi Jacobson, Tony Macht, Brittany O’Grady, Zane Phillips, Julian Stern, and Andrew Scott.

“It tells the story of a B-list sitcom star so desperate to revive her career that she agrees to star in a reality television show called, appropriately enough, The Comeback,” reads the show’s original synopsis. “Cameras follow Valerie Cherish’s every move as she angles to keep her head above the Hollywood fray, even as she’s woefully out of touch with modern show business. And in the madness that is network television, there is nothing braver than a 40-year-old ingenue who’s not quite ready to give up the spotlight.”
