South Park is getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with a brand new episode, releasing the first details on their upcoming episode.

What do we know about South Park’s Thanksgiving episode?

Comedy Central announced that the new episode of South Park set to air today, “Turkey Trot,” will be Thanksgiving-themed. The episode will follow the Colorado town as they do their annual Thanksgiving run, and how it ““turns chaotic when Cartman uses questionable cutting-edge science to win the race.”

The episode will be 28th season’s fourth episode, and should it follow the previous history of the last few years of South Park, it’ll be the penultimate episode of Season 28. The fifth and potentially final episode of Season 28 will premiere on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. While it’s not confirmed to be the finale, South Park has been following a five-episode season for a few seasons as of now.

Those looking to watch tonight’s episode of South Park can do so on Comedy Central. New episodes of the show are then available to stream on Paramount+ and other on-demand services following the premiere. South Park’s 27th and 28th season premiered in July and October, 2025, respectively. The first five episodes of Season 27 were massively controversial for South Park, as creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone fully satirized Donald Trump and the day-to-day news cycle.

Season 28, which premiered on October 15, 2025, has continued that, with an overarching story consisting following Trump and Satan and a child that the pair are conceiving. Seeing as how this episode is all about Thanksgiving, it seems like South Park will be saving the finale to wrap up most of its story points.
