Apple TV has released the official trailer for Shrinking Season 3, the Emmy-nominated comedy starring Harrison Ford and Jason Segel.

“Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks,” the Apple TV synopsis reads. “Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives . . . including his own.”

What happens in the Shrinking Season 3 trailer?

“The GOAT is back,” Ford’s Paul Rhoades says to open the trailer. Paul, who is Jimmy Laird’s (Segel) mentor and coworker, continues to cope with Parkinson’s disease. The footage shows Paul at a doctor’s appointment, sitting next to an unnamed character played by Michael J. Fox, who returns to acting for the first time since 2020. Fox has lived with Parkinson’s for 35 years.

Meanwhile, Jimmy, who is still mourning the loss of his wife, must navigate the fact that his teenage daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell) will be leaving for college soon. “Maybe happiness is not this impossible thing,” Jimmy states. “You just have to choose it.”

Shrinking’s ensemble features Jessica Williams as Gaby, Luke Tennie as Sean, Michael Urie as Brian, Christa Miller as Liz, and Ted McGinley as Derek. Returning guest stars include Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders. Besides Fox, the biggest addition to the cast is Jeff Daniels, who will play Jimmy’s father.

Segel and Goldstein created Shrinking alongside Bill Lawrence. Executive producers include Segel, Goldstein, Lawrence, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley.

Shrinking Season 3 will premiere globally on Apple TV with a one-hour special episode on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. One new episode will debut every Wednesday until April 8, 2026.
