Nick Bythrow (ScreenRant) rated it 7/10, calling it “a strong continuation of Prime Video’s best new crime thriller series.” Jasmine Blu (TV Fanatic) gave it 4.3/5 and stated, “Cross is a series that always has something to say, but with Cross Season 2, they’re doubling down on that.”
Joel Keller (Decider) noted the returning dynamic, saying, “The second season of Cross still has a lot of charm, especially in the relationship between Cross and Sampson.” Jonathon Wilson (Ready Steady Cut) wrote, “If you liked Season 1, you’ll like this as well,” assigning it 3.5/5. In contrast, Kaiya Shunyata (RogerEbert.com) gave it a negative review, stating, “The highs and lows of this second season mirror a spindling rollercoaster… before the whole ride comes crashing down.”
Additional reviews include Nate Richard (Collider), who scored it 6/10 and observed that it is “missing some of the key aspects that made Season 1 work so well.” Katie Doll (CBR) gave it 7/10, describing it as “disturbing, yet provocatively captivating.”
