Prime Video is set to welcome two of Reese Witherspoon’s signature comedy movies from an iconic franchise to the streaming platform. Legally Blonde, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, and Legally Blondes will be soon available for streaming on the platform next month. The move brings the beloved comedy franchise back into the spotlight, offering subscribers another chance to revisit Elle Woods’ journey.

Prime Video to add three Legally Blonde movies soon

Prime Video is set to bring the Legally Blonde franchise back into the spotlight. The three films series is scheduled to arrive on the platform on February 1, 2026. The upcoming additions include the original Legally Blonde, its sequel Red, White & Blonde, and the spin-off film Legally Blondes (via ComicBook.com).

Released in 2001, the first film introduced Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority president who enrolls at Harvard Law School after being dumped by her boyfriend as unsuitable for his future political career.

Determined to prove herself, Elle enrolls at the prestigious university, where she navigates new challenges and demonstrates her intelligence. Directed by Robert Luketic, the film currently holds a 72 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, with similar audience rating.

The franchise continued in 2003 with Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, directed by Charles Herman-Wurmfeld. The sequel sees Elle relocate to Washington, D.C., where she works within the political system to advocate for an animal testing ban. The second film received a less favorable critical response, earning a 35 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

The third film was released in 2009. It shifts the focus away from Elle Woods to her younger British cousins, twins Annie and Izzy Woods. After moving from England to California, the pair face social backlash and false accusations at their new school. Directed by Savage Steve Holland, the movie serves as a spin-off. It holds a 37 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornometer.

With all three films joining its catalog, Prime Video will offer viewers the opportunity to rewatch the Legally Blonde franchise.
