Prime Video marked a major milestone for one of its latest action releases this week. The platform highlighted the film’s rise to the top of its global streaming rankings. It signaled strong early viewership without detailing specific performance numbers.
The Bluff tops Prime Video’s streaming charts
The Bluff has reached the top position on Prime Video’s global streaming charts. Amazon MGM Studios confirmed the milestone in a post on X, stating, “Thank you for making #TheBluff #1 worldwide on @PrimeVideo.”
Amazon MGM Studios distributes the film via Prime Video. It released the film on February 25, 2026, following its February 17, 2026, premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater. AGBO, Cinestar Pictures, Big Indie Pictures, and Purple Pebble Pictures produced the film.
Frank E. Flowers directed the film and co-wrote it with Joe Ballarini. The Bluff stars Priyanka Chopra, Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Temuera Morrison, runs for 101 minutes, and takes place in the Cayman Islands. The production team filmed principal photography in Australia between June and early August 2024.
The story follows former pirate Ercell Bodden, also known as Bloody Mary, as she confronts her past after pirate Connor arrives on Cayman Brac. Priyanka Chopra plays Ercell Bodden, Karl Urban plays Captain Connor, and Ismael Cruz Córdova plays Theodor H. Bodden. Henry Jackman composed the score.
On Rotten Tomatoes, 71% of 34 critics’ reviews are positive. Simon Abrams of RogerEbert.com gave 2.5 stars out of 4 and wrote, “The Bluff” exemplifies a very enjoyable type of nostalgia-bait, even if it’s never as good as its elevator pitch.”
Owen Myers of The Guardian rated it 3/5 stars and stated, “Chopra Jonas gamely commits to the pulpiness of The Bluff, even as it doesn’t ask much of her beyond its impressive action sequences and a few tart one-liners.”
The Bluff is streaming on Prime Video now.
