A popular NBC show has been renewed for a second season.

Destination X is a reality competition series that premiered on NBC in May 2025. Hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the show sees contestants attempt to guess the location that they’ve been transported to for a chance to win $250,000.

What NBC show has been renewed for a second season?

Per Deadline, Destination X has now been officially renewed for a second season. Casting is currently underway and production is expected to begin this year, though a premiere date has not yet been set.

“The first season premiered in May 2025 and got off to a promising start; it averaged 14M viewers across linear and streaming in its first 26 days,” the article states. “NBC said that, as well as being the top alternative series launch on Peacock, it was the number one new show of last summer and reached 20M viewers across all platforms over its ten-episode run. The show, which sees contestants embarking on a road trip with no idea of their location, was helped by the introduction of a number of reality stars such as Love Island USA’s JaNA Craig and The Traitors’ Peter Weber.

“Contestants have to figure out their mystery location from a blacked-out Destination X bus with challenges designed to offer clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing. At the end of each episode, the contestant who places an X on a map farthest from the actual location packs their bags. The first participant to reach the final Destination X will be crowned the winner.”

Rome, London, Geneva, Monaco, Venice, Munich, and more were all locations that were featured in the first season of Destination X. Andy Cadman is the series’ showrunner, while Dean Morgan, Sophie Alcock, Darren Brown, Emanuel Vanderjeugd, Dan Adamson, and Shireen Abbott all serve as executive producers.

The first season of Destination X is available to stream on Peacock.
