A recent reveal from Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn has drawn fresh attention to the latest episode of the Apple TV+ series. In a surprising behind-the-scenes detail, Seehorn confirmed a hidden connection to her Better Call Saul past. The revelation points to a quiet reunion with one of her longtime co-stars.
Rhea Seehorn says a Better Call Saul costar made voice cameo in Pluribus Episode 5
Rhea Seehorn confirmed that Patrick Fabian, her Better Call Saul co-star, made a voice cameo in Episode 5 of Pluribus, titled “Got Milk.” Fabian voiced the Others’ phone answering service, a detail kept secret from Seehorn until filming. “They surprised me. I did not know about this,” she told TV Guide, explaining that the crew withheld the information to capture her genuine reaction.
Seehorn revealed the surprise came during a long take when her character Carol first hears the answering service. “They were hoping to get some kind of blooper take from me,” she said, adding, “Not terrified, but I just didn’t want to — because I knew it was a long take, too, the first time she hears it.” Seehorn further stated, “I don’t know which take they actually use, but I think if you got one of those psychologists or psychiatrists that study micro facial muscle changes, I’m pretty sure you could see me go, What? Patrick?”
She recalled recognizing Fabian’s voice and reacting after the scene was cut: “They called cut, and I started laughing and ran out and said, ‘That’s Patrick! You got Patrick!’ And they said they’d been sitting on it for a long time, just to screw with me.” Carol drugs Zosia in an attempt to extract information, causing her to have a heart attack. Afterward, the hive deserts Carol in Albuquerque, leaving her with only the automated voice to guide her.
Patrick Fabian portrayed Howard Hamlin in Better Call Saul from 2015 to 2022, alongside Seehorn’s Kim Wexler. He played a partner at Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill, where Kim worked. Seehorn noted, “Let’s face it, even if it wasn’t an Easter egg from Better Call Saul, Patrick Fabian does have one of the all-time great voices.”
