Marvel Studios celebrated the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps on streaming with a hilarious video of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn trying to fit into a selfie video. It seems Mr. Fantastic’s stretchy powers came in useful in this, leaving fans delighted.
Pedro Pascal uses his stretchy powers in new Fantastic Four videos
The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which successfully rebooted the franchise after a previous failure, finally arrived on Disney+ early in November, around three and a half months after its theatrical debut. The film has been streaming for a few weeks now.
But recently, Marvel Studios used a hilarious and engaging tactic to promote the film’s streaming release. They posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) that saw the four lead actors — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn — struggling to fit into a selfie. Then, Pascal took the camera and stretched his hand to capture them all.
Marvel captioned it, “Gather your family (and friends) together to stream Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Now on Disney+.”
In the clip, Pascal says, “Oh, I’m feeling fantastic.” This nod to Mr. Fantastic’s stretchy powers for something so relatable has won fans over, with many comments praising the film and this move.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps successfully integrated the Fantastic Four characters into the MCU and even laid the foundation for the upcoming Avengers film, which will be centered around Doctor Doom. The film also showcased the mammoth figure, Galactus, who is one of the most prominent villains in Marvel Comics, and will possibly return in the future.
The world-building seen in the Pascal-led film would be crucial in the upcoming Marvel projects, which will focus more on multiversal elements within the MCU.
Additionally, The Fantastic Four: First Steps also became a critical and commercial success, garnering generally positive reviews and earning $521.9 million worldwide.
