Tyler Perry‘s popular drama is returning to Netflix with Part 2 of its Season 2 next month. Following the pattern of the previous season, the new part is arriving more than five months after the first.
Beauty in Black Season 2 to continue next month
Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 2 will start streaming on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Part 1, with eight episodes, was released on September 11, 2025. Similarly, the second part will also comprise eight episodes.
Tyler Perry serves as the show’s executive producer, lead writer, and director. The show features an expansive cast that includes Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, Ricco Ross, Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, and Julian Horton, among others.
It centers around Kimmie (Williams) and Mallory (Stewart), two women from opposite economic sides of the world. While Kimmie struggles to make ends meet as a stripper, Mallory runs a highly successful beauty empire, but returns home to a difficult marriage. In an unexpected twist, their lives get intertwined.
During an interview with Tudum, Stewart teased what viewers can expect in Part 2 of Season 2. “Let’s just say the power shifts are bigger, the betrayals cut deeper, and Mallory has a few tricks no one sees coming. If you think she’s already done her worst, you’re not ready.” Meanwhile, Williams said, “Expect unexpected alliances!”
The show debuted on Netflix on October 24, 2024. Within four days of release, it became Netflix’s fourth most-watched series at the time. A week later, it had surpassed 8.7 million views.
Furthermore, during its second week, it reportedly topped Netflix’s viewership chart across 28 countries. Subsequently, Netflix renewed it for a second season. After the success of the second installment, the streaming giant ordered a third and final season in December 2025. Although a release timeline has yet to be announced.
