Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for Wonder Man, offering the clearest look yet at Simon Williams’ powers while also debuting an official poster for the upcoming Disney+ series.

The latest trailer for Wonder Man confirms that Simon Williams is no ordinary actor trying to land his big break. Played by Yahya Abdul-Matteen II, Simon actively hides his abilities while auditioning for a superhero reboot, but the new teaser makes it clear that his secret is already slipping.

For the first time, the trailer puts Simon’s powers front and center. Short but striking moments show sudden surges of strength and energy that appear uncontrolled rather than heroic. The series presents these abilities as something Simon suppresses or barely understands, not a polished skillset.

After all, as the Wonder Man trailer shows, Simon’s emotional strain feeds directly into his powers. As the pressure of fame and performance builds, his suppressed abilities begin to break through, raising the risk of public exposure and collateral damage. The footage suggests that the series will explore how closely identity, trauma, and power are linked for its lead character.

Moreover, that lack of control becomes a problem once the Department of Damage Control starts paying attention. Agent P. Cleary, played by Arian Moayed, directly addresses the threat Simon represents.

As he states, “The Department of Damage Control considers Simon Williams an extraordinary threat.” The line reframes Simon’s story from an actor’s struggle to a growing MCU concern, suggesting consequences beyond his personal ambitions.

While the trailer avoids spelling out his full power set, it strongly suggests that the MCU version of Wonder Man could become a major force if left unchecked.

Accompanying the trailer is a striking new poster, confirming Wonder Man’s imminent debut in Hollywood style. Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ on January 27, with all eight episodes releasing simultaneously.
