Paramount Pictures has finally announced the Paramount+ release date for the upcoming streaming debut of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Following its theatrical debut last May, the Tom Cruise-led sequel has received mostly positive reviews from critics and fans. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 428 reviews.
“Our lives are the sum of our choices. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” reads the movie’s brief synopsis.
When is the streaming release date for Mission: Impossible 8?
Following its digital release last August, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be available for streaming starting on December 4, 2025, exclusively on Paramount+.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. Besides Cruise, the film also starred returning cast members Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Rolf Saxon, Lucy Tulugarjuk, and Angela Bassett, along with franchise newcomers Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Charles Parnell, and Mark Gatiss.
The movie was produced by McQuarrie and Cruise, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Chris Brock as executive producers. It was a production by Paramount Pictures and Skydance. During its theatrical run, the movie earned a worldwide gross of $589 million.
After Mission: Impossible 8, Cruise will next be seen in acclaimed filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s highly anticipated black comedy movie, which is currently slated to arrive in theaters on October 2. In addition to leading the cast, Cruise is also serving as a producer.
