Vantage Media has announced the digital release date for Signing Tony Raymond, its newest sports comedy-drama led by Michael Mosley (Ozark, Seven Seconds). Set in the high-stakes world of college football, the movie had its world premiere last year at the Austin Film Festival.
“Set in the Deep South, the film follows Coach Walt McFadden, a talented but idealistic assistant coach at Louisiana University who’s out of second chances,” reads the official synopsis. “After failing to land a top recruit the previous year, Walt is given one last shot at redemption: Signing the nation’s number one defensive end, Tony Raymond — or losing his job. His pursuit takes him deep into the backwoods of Alabama, where he discovers that money doesn’t always determine who wins.”
When is the release date for Signing Tony Raymond?
Signing Tony Raymond will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 3, 2026. Since its theatrical release in January, the movie has garnered a 95% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The college football movie is written and directed by Glen Owen. Besides Mosley, the cast also includes Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion) and Rob Morgan (Mudbound, Just Mercy). The film also features NFL legends Marshawn Lynch, Champ Bailey, Richard Sherman, and college football great Brian “The Boz” Bosworth, who bring authentic charisma to their roles within the world of college football recruitment. It is produced by John Thomas and Kristy Clabaugh of Southern Isles Pictures, and Don Mandrik and Glen Owen of State Line Films. Executive Producers are Seth Ingram, Mitch Olson, Tiffany FitzHenry, Champ Bailey, Dan A.R. Kelly, and Kevin Greene.
“Signing Tony Raymond speaks to the heart and hustle of modern college football, where dreams, loyalty, and big-time opportunities collide. In a season where signing bonuses and NIL deals are redefining the future of the sport,” Vantage Media boss Jessica Russo said in a statement. “The film captures the spirit of competition both on and off the field. Vantage Media is thrilled to bring this film to American audiences, which celebrates the passion, players, and the power of the game that unites fans nationwide.”
Owen added, “Coming off of our theatrical run, we’re very excited to partner with Vantage Media for our digital release. They have been big fans of the film from early on and have shown a lot of passion and energy for getting this film out to audiences on the streaming platforms.”
