The Masters of the Universe movie is currently in production, and in a new batch of set photos, we get our first look at some of the She-Ra characters that are set to appear in the movie.

Who are in the Masters of the Universe set photos?

The new batch of photos show brief (and somewhat blurry) looks at several characters from the She-Ra animated series that are set to appear in the upcoming movie. This includes Zodak, the Cosmic Enforcer, a powerful Eternian who is an enemy of the Snake Men.

Speaking of, the set photos also show off what looks to be King Hiss, the leader of the Snake Men. Other characters seen in the photos include Bow, Perfuma, and Netossa. Set photos also show off what looks to be a large, practical Eternian map.

The Masters of the Universe live-action cast is led by Nicholas Galitzine, who will play Prince Adam/He-Man, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.

Other cast members for the film include recently announced Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.

Plot details for Masters of the Universe remain under wraps at this time. The script comes from Chris Butler, while David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee worked on the initial draft.

“Mattel’s Masters of the Universe was first introduced to the world in 1982 through a line of popular action figures,” said Mattel on the brand. “In 1983, the treasured animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe premiered and became one of the first children’s programs to be syndicated on television. From inception, the MOTU brand was built upon the message of becoming the best version of oneself, and today, the franchise spans a variety of consumer touchpoints across toys, television, video games, and more.”
