Marvel fans anticipating a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer were left disappointed as the Super Bowl broadcast didn’t feature any Marvel teasers. The absence quickly became a topic of discussion online, as viewers reacted to the studio’s decision to skip the marquee event.
Marvel fans were really hoping for new Avengers: Doomsday teaser
Marvel supporters went into the broadcast of the milestone NFL game expecting a new Avengers: Doomsday teaser. However, the studio did not release any footage during the game. The absence prompted immediate online discussion, with fans sharing their reactions across social platforms after the game concluded.
One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Me realizing we won’t get Avengers Doomsday or Spiderman Brand New Day trailer in the Super Bowl this year.”
Another added, “Why post this if there’s no doomsday trailer in the superbowl. I just one little teaser of doom. #AvengersDoomsday!”
A third person commented, “If we don’t get the Avengers Doomsday trailer in these Super Bowl ads at least give us the Spiderman Brand New Day trailer CMONNNNN. @Marvel.” Meanwhile, a fourth added, “Waiting for Avengers Doomsday trailer during the Super Bowl this game is boring.”
However, Marvel’s absence was noticeable during a night that featured several major studio reveals. Trailers and previews aired for projects such as Disclosure Day, Scream 7, Pixar’s Hoppers, and Project Hail Mary. Netflix also debuted its first look at The Adventures of Cliff Booth. DC also unveiled a Supergirl trailer.
Sony typically doesn’t use Super Bowl ad spots, so a Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer wasn’t expected anyway. However, Marvel often promotes its upcoming releases at the annual NFL event, so the absence of an Avengers trailer has left many disappointed.
