“Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, the series is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs,” the synopsis for Landman reads. “Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
Elliot is known for his work in both movies and television shows. He starred in a number of projects, including Molly and Lawless John, The Legacy, Gettysburg, The Big Lebowski, Fatal Beauty, Mask, Road House, We Were Soldiers, Hulk, Ghost Rider, The Hero, Grandma, I’ll See You in My Dreams, A Star Is Born, and MacGruber, among many others.
