Amidst the success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, more Game of Thrones news is coming soon. HBO has revealed when the House of the Dragon Season 3 trailer will premier.
When is the House of the Dragon Season 3 trailer coming out?
In a new post for House of the Dragon Season 3 that shows Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra Targaryen seated on the Iron Throne, HBO confirms that the trailer for Season 3 of the Game of Thrones spin-off will premiere on February 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. EST.
The poster also confirms the news that the third season will return in June. The show will additionally have one more season following its third, with the fourth season set to be the final season of the series. The history of House of the Dragon has been an up and down one, with the show’s first season receiving massive acclaim, and its second season drawing criticism from many, including A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin himself, who has acknowledged creative issues exist between himself and showrunner Ryan Condal.
House of the Dragon Season 3 will once again feature returning cast members Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Daemon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent, Rhys Ifans as Otto, Steve Toussaint as Corlys, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole, Harry Collett as Jace, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, Bethany Antonia as Baela, Phoebe Campbell as Rhaena, Phia Saban as Helaena, Tom Taylor as Cregan Stark, Tom Bennett as Ulf White, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne, and more.
The prequel chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens — the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. The spin-off is created by Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal, who are executive producing alongside Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, Vince Gerardis.
