Fox has renewed one of its hit primetime series for two more seasons, extending its run through Season 7. The announcement arrives ahead of the upcoming season and reflects the network’s continued investment in high-stakes competition and audience engagement.
The Floor renewed for Season 6 and 7
Fox has officially renewed the trivia game show The Floor for two more seasons, extending its run through Season 7. TVLine confirmed the news on February 6, 2026, following an initial report by The Ankler. This marks the third consecutive two-season renewal for the series.
Rob Lowe hosts The Floor, which debuted in 2024 and features 100 contestants competing on a grid of 100 squares. Each player represents a trivia category and challenges neighboring opponents in head-to-head duels, aiming to take over their squares and expand territory. By the end of the season, one contestant claims the $250,000 grand prize.
Season 4 aired in Fall 2025 and wrapped up in December. It averaged a 0.27 rating in the 18–49 demographic and attracted 2.33 million viewers, including DVR playback through 3:00 AM. Compared to Season 3, ratings dropped 55% in the key demo and viewership declined by 29%.
The show returned in September 2025 for its fourth season. Fox has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 5. The network previously issued two-season renewals in May 2023 (Seasons 2 and 3) and May 2025 (Seasons 4 and 5).
Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn said, “From day one, The Floor has fit the very definition of Fox’s bold, high-energy approach to entertainment, becoming a true fan favorite and TV’s No. 1 game show,” in a statement to The Ankler.
The Floor is based on a Dutch format and has become a mainstay of Fox’s game show lineup. The latest renewal secures the series’ future well into the 2026–2027 television season.
